Eisenbahnmuseum Pronsfeld
Pronsfeld
A museum locomotive, visible from afar, shows the way to the small railway museum on the cycle path in Pronsfeld. Where the West Eifel Railway once ran, cyclists now cavort on the old railway line from Prüm to St. Vith in Belgium. The railway museum uses photos and documents to show the history of the railway in Pronsfeld since 1886. In addition to the Köf II small locomotive with flat cars and a 3rd class passenger car from 1940, you can see railway barriers, pieces of track, form signals and much other historical railway equipment. The historic train carriage is now home to Café Stullwerk (from April to October). Here visitors can get homemade cakes, coffee specialties and delicious cold drinks.
