In the Alte Post art gallery First there was the house. Built in 1942, destroyed during the war and rebuilt, it housed the Pronsfeld postal agency for 37 years and thus provided the family with the necessary livelihood. Then there was the hospitality of its residents, which has always been maintained throughout the ages, combined with a healthy curiosity about people and the joy of exchange. And finally, there was an affinity for art in all its manifestations. It made sense to bring the three strands together. The Alte Post Gallery sees itself as a meeting place where, in the midst of everyday life in the Eifel, people can enjoy the diversity of contemporary art and have a conversation about it. Opened in 2019, the Alte Post was put into a deep sleep by the pandemic after only two exhibitions. Now it's time for an awakening again... We are looking forward to your visit.
