Theme evening on civil courage

Wherever people come together, situations can arise that involve exclusion, discrimination or violence. From discriminatory, sexist or racist remarks to structural disadvantages and even physical attacks - no two situations are the same. What they have in common is that democratic values are violated - and that many people look away instead of acting. That is exactly when civil courage is needed. Speaking up, getting involved, intervening. It is about thoughtful and courageous action when the situation requires it, not heroism. Civil courage can be trained. The training encourages people to act with civil courage. It provides helpful information and offers space for reflection and practice. Speakers from the State Center for Political Education (LpB) Zillan Daoud and Luis Caballero The training is sponsored by the State Center for Political Education.
