Today we hike around two maars in the Vulkaneifel. The Schalkenmehrener Maar is one of the three Dauner Maaren and offers a wonderful backdrop to the start of our hike. At the Weinfelder Maar, also known as the Totenmaar, hikers will find a rough natural landscape and on the north bank there is a small, worth seeing chapel. The maars shape the landscape and on this hike you can enjoy the extraordinary natural landscape.
