Familienwanderung (Gruppentour)

Our alpacas and llamas graze on a meadow directly below Schönecken Castle. There we get to know the animals in a relaxed manner and make our first attempts at leading them on the pasture. Then our hiking adventure in the "Schönecker Schweiz" nature reserve begins!

Right at the beginning, we hike down into the valley of the Altburgbach stream. Orchards and the slender silhouettes of juniper bushes accompany us. We follow the Altburgbach, whose bed winds its way through the forest in countless bends. Finally, we reach a narrow bridge. Will the alpacas and llamas make it down the steps to the bridge? Will they cross the bridge? Here you can prove that you have already become good llameros and llamas! Because that's what llama guides are called in the South American Andes!

Now we have a steep climb ahead of us: a narrow path winds its way up the slope. It leads us to a hidden, ancient refuge perched on steep rocks above the Altburgbach stream. Many centuries ago, Celts hid here when it became too dangerous out on the open plains. We rest here for a while. If you like, you can explore the rocks. We are sure to have plenty of time to take photos with the alpacas and llamas. Then we walk back through the fields towards Schönecken and reach the old castle of Schönecken almost at the end of our tour.

Back at the pasture, we have to say goodbye to our faithful companions, the alpacas and llamas.
